About Me
- Urban Fossils
- 1984 graduate School of Visual Arts in NYC. In the early 1990's Richard was the chairman of the Cartoonists discipline of The Graphic Artists Guild in NYC. Richard married his long time friend Wendy and they moved to Derby CT with their two children Alexandra and Maxwell. Richard is the current head of the Derby Cultural Commission as well as the President of the Valley Arts Council that is a member driven organization of Artists from the towns of Ansonia, Beacon Falls, Derby, Shelton
How To Contact Me
To Date, I have created over 1400 "Urban Fossil" bricks. Each brick is an individual work of art and is treated as such. I can sculpt just about anything in a brick...
Houses, Buildings, Landmarks (Lighthouses, Churches etc...) Cars, Trucks, Military Vehicles of any type, Motorcycles, Planes, Trains, Family Pets, Any type of Animal, Sports figures, Cartoon Characters and even People!
I have special edition Gallery pieces such as the Mythological Kitty from the HGTV program.
They are surprisingly affordable starting at $35.00 per brick.
Prices are based on complexity of the sculpting.
Portraits start at $65.00 per brick.
For personal items , I will need clear legible photographs
The bricks are heavy (We're talking real bricks here) and can be mailed just about anywhere
via U.S Postal service (most common, just under $10.00 u.s), UPS or FedEX (current pricing unavailable ...but we can check)
